Meaning: Pledged to God.

The Elsie Academy is a private school located in Jacksonville, FL, near the St. Johns Town Center. We are rooted in the values and principles God has given humanity to follow. Our biblical-based beliefs encourage us to provide the highest standards of care for our students. Our demographic of students comes from all different backgrounds, races, and classes. Regardless of a family's current financial situation, we believe each child deserves the best. At The Elsie Academy, we accept school readiness vouchers and VPK.

We partner with families to create an individualized educational experience by identifying and nurturing our students' God-given gifts. We achieve this through exposure to various topics through our curriculum, integrating Spanish and sign language into our lesson plans, weekly enrichment clubs, project-based learning, and our child portfolios. The Elsie Academy is a proponent of family unity, which is why we offer classes for homeschooled families. We currently serve ages 1-5. A Message From the Founders of Our Biblical-Based Education Academy

We are the Smoot family; welcome to The Elsie Academy! We are high school sweethearts who have been married for five years and are parents to two amazing children who were born right here in Jacksonville. We have called Jacksonville home for seven years and have witnessed the city's growth. When we became parents, we were looking for a well-thought-through program that would add to our children's lives and help them develop their skills. After much prayer, we decided to build a school that encompassed everything we were looking for. We are passionate about family unity, education, and community development. This is our way of giving back and impacting the world in a positive way. We know you will see the love we poured into The Elsie Academy and hope you love it just as much as we do.
